BREAKING NEWS

We here at Carr Sails want to wish Chuck Black a long and leisurely retirement in the San Diego sunshine.  Chuck was the one to introduced us to his 12 US 38 East Coast 12-Meter way back in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. in the spring of 1969.  He served the American Model Yachting Association in many capacities over the years; was one of the premier sail makers for the sport; and was a driving force behind the San Diego Argonauts RACE WEEK that has become a fixture each season on the AMYA Schedule.  Chuck's contributions to the sport are too numerous to list, but his friendship and consistent support for anyone and anything that sailed will be remembered as long as there are folks to cross the starting line together.  Fair winds and following seas our friend!!
